Having Fun This Spring With Your Pets

Spring is not just for wild college parties in Mexico or in the Caribbean. It's also a good time for families to bond with each other and their pets. The article below is about Spring Break for Families and Pets.

Hearing the word spring break, the first thing that comes into our minds are wild parties with College boys and girls. But spring break is a great time for family vacations too. It’s also a good chance to take the pets along so they can also have a good time.

Road trips
If you want to drive around with the cold breeze blowing on your face, then you better go for a road trip. It’s a good chance to spend some time with your pet while singing to your favourite road trip songs. Be sure to keep the pet safe in a dog car seat and of course put on the buckle too with a dog seatbelt.

Outdoor camping
Bring your Coleman and bring your dog. Pack the cooler with sodas, juices, water and bring the hotdogs and mallows. This is a great bonding time for families, pitching the tent, barbecuing hotdogs and mallows, strumming the guitar and singing the favourite camping songs. The pets would surely enjoy camping by the bonfire and the great time spent with his family.

Beach Hopping and Diving
The most popular venue for College spring break is the beach. Well, it’s a good vacation place for families too. There are a lot of water sports that mom, dad and the kids can try. The dog can surely enjoy playing in the sand too. Throw in the Frisbees and have a run and fetch game with the dog. It’s also a good work out for the family and the pet as they can jog in the morning along with the pet while enjoying the morning sea breeze and the mildness of morning sunshine.

The problem is the best beaches are usually far, in the tropics or in the Carribean, meaning that you have to travel by air to get to these destinations. However, what families or pet owners usually experience in travelling and bringing the pets along is the difficulty of passing them through the airport. There are a lot of requirements for by air travel. The most important demand in most airports is that pets be placed in airline approved dog crates. Ordinary kennels or crates won’t pass the health and safety demands of officers. After that, there are also some paper works on pet’s medical records and related documents. If you want to be eased of these troubles, there are agencies that can arrange your pet’s travel.

Once you’re in the beach, you can go island hopping, snorkelling and diving. The dog can swim with you, provided he wears a dog life jacket.
